Bill Information

MEPCO Bill SMS Service

MEPCO also offers a convenient SMS service to provide bill information. To receive your bill via SMS, type:

New Connection or Transfer Procedure

For new property purchases where an existing MEPCO connection is registered under the previous owner, you will need to follow the same procedure as for a new connection to change the name on the bill. Visit the nearest office to apply for a name change or correction.

Taxes in MEPCO Bill

Here are some common taxes you may encounter in your MEPCO bills:

  • FPA (Fuel Price Adjustment): This reflects fluctuations in fuel prices affecting electricity generation.
  • TR Surcharge: Tariff Rationalization Surcharge related to NEPRA and GOP tariff differences.
  • FC Surcharge: Financing Cost, currently set at 43 paisa per unit for debt servicing of Power Holding Private Limited.
  • Deferred Amount: This bill amount can be paid later without late payment charges; future bills may include this amount in installments or as a lump sum.
  • QTR Tariff Adjustment / DMC: Quarterly tariff adjustment amount added every three months.
